FG Dixon Group is a third-generation family-owned business established in 1948. For more than 75 years, we have provided multidisciplinary consulting services across engineering, design, project delivery, and construction management. Our expertise encompasses design development, documentation, contract administration, project management, and construction management for a wide range of complex and specialised projects.
Our History
Founded in 1948 as FG Dixon, the business was incorporated as FG Dixon Pty Ltd in 1970. As the organisation expanded, additional entities were established in 1981 and 1985 – FG Dixon (Vic) Pty Ltd and FG Dixon Estates Pty Ltd – to support specialised service streams in residential developments, commercial, industrial and institutional projects, and engineering and management consulting.
These business structures enabled the Group to meet evolving professional registration, licensing, and insurance requirements while maintaining a strong focus on client service and technical excellence.
Following subsequent changes to industry registration and insurance frameworks, FG Dixon Group was consolidated into two autonomous entities: FG Dixon Estates Pty Ltd and J&D Dixon Pty Ltd. To better reflect our professional engineering capabilities, we also operate under the trading name Adept Consulting Engineers for metropolitan engineering consultancy services.
